1 Псалом Давида Не огорчайся, глядя на благополучие злодеев, и преступникам не завидуй.

2 Как трава, они скоро засохнут, как зелень на поле, увянут.

3 Положись на ГОСПОДА и делай добро, живи на земле и храни верность Богу.

4 ГОСПОДЬ пусть будет радостью твоей и даст Он тебе, что сердце твое пожелает.

5 Предай ГОСПОДУ путь твой, доверься Ему, и Он действовать будет:

6 праведность твою Он сделает явной, как день ясный, справедливость — очевидной, как солнце в полдень.

7 Спокоен будь в ГОСПОДЕ, возложив на Него надежды свои. Пусть не беспокоит тебя то, что строящий козни ближним удачлив в делах своих.

8 Перестань гневаться, ярость свою оставь, не раздражайся — это лишь к злу ведет.

9 Ибо делающие зло истребятся, а уповающие на ГОСПОДА наследуют землю.

10 Еще немного — и не станет нечестивца, посмотришь туда, где он был, — там его нет.

11 А землю наследуют кроткие и во всей полноте благополучием насладятся.

12 Нечестивец злое против праведника замышляет, скрежещет на него зубами.
