1 Be not you envious7065 against evil7451 men,582 neither408 desire183 to be with them.

2 For their heart3820 studies1897 destruction,7701 and their lips8193 talk1696 of mischief.5999

3 Through wisdom2451 is an house1004 built;1129 and by understanding8394 it is established:3559

4 And by knowledge1847 shall the chambers2315 be filled4390 with all3605 precious3368 and pleasant5273 riches.1952

5 A wise2450 man1397 is strong;5797 yes, a man376 of knowledge1847 increases553 strength.3581

6 For by wise counsel8458 you shall make your war:4421 and in multitude7230 of counsellors3289 there is safety.8668

7 Wisdom2454 is too high7311 for a fool:191 he opens6605 not his mouth6310 in the gate.8179

8 He that devises2803 to do evil7489 shall be called7121 a mischievous4209 person.1167

9 The thought2154 of foolishness200 is sin:2403 and the scorner3887 is an abomination8441 to men.120

10 If you faint7503 in the day3117 of adversity,6869 your strength3581 is small.6862

11 If you forbear2820 to deliver5337 them that are drawn3947 to death,4194 and those that are ready4131 to be slain;2027

14 So3651 shall the knowledge3045 of wisdom2451 be to your soul:5315 when518 you have found4672 it, then there shall be a reward,319 and your expectation8615 shall not be cut3772 off.

15 Lay not wait,693 O wicked7563 man, against the dwelling5116 of the righteous;6662 spoil7703 not his resting7258 place:

16 For a just6662 man falls5307 seven7651 times, and rises6965 up again: but the wicked7563 shall fall3782 into mischief.7451

17 Rejoice8055 not when your enemy341 falls,5307 and let not your heart3820 be glad1523 when he stumbles:3782

18 Lest6435 the LORD3068 see7200 it, and it displease7489 5869 him, and he turn7725 away his wrath639 from him.

19 Fret2734 not yourself because of evil7489 men, neither408 be you envious7065 at the wicked:7563

20 For there shall be no3808 reward319 to the evil7451 man; the candle5216 of the wicked7563 shall be put1846 out.

21 My son,1121 fear3372 you the LORD3068 and the king:4428 and meddle6148 not with them that are given to change:8138

22 For their calamity343 shall rise6965 suddenly;6597 and who4310 knows3045 the ruin6365 of them both?8147

23 These428 things also1571 belong to the wise.2450 It is not good2896 to have respect5234 of persons6440 in judgment.4941

24 He that said559 to the wicked,7563 You are righteous;6662 him shall the people5971 curse,5344 nations3816 shall abhor2194 him:

25 But to them that rebuke3198 him shall be delight,5276 and a good2896 blessing1293 shall come935 on them.

26 Every man shall kiss5401 his lips8193 that gives a right5228 answer.7725 1697

27 Prepare3559 your work4399 without,2351 and make it fit6257 for yourself in the field;7704 and afterwards310 build1129 your house.1004

28 Be not a witness5707 against your neighbor7453 without2600 cause;2600 and deceive6601 not with your lips.8193

29 Say559 not, I will do6213 so3651 to him as he has done6213 to me: I will render7725 to the man376 according to his work.6467

31 And, see,2009 it was all3605 grown5927 over5927 with thorns,7063 and nettles2738 had covered3680 the face6440 thereof, and the stone68 wall1444 thereof was broken2040 down.2040

32 Then I saw,2372 and considered7896 3820 it well: I looked7200 on it, and received3947 instruction.4148

33 Yet a little4592 sleep,8142 a little4592 slumber,8572 a little4592 folding2264 of the hands3027 to sleep:7901

34 So3651 shall your poverty7389 come935 as one that travels;1980 and your want4270 as an armed4043 man.376

1 Не завидуй злым людям. Не теряй на них время.

2 В их сердцах одни только злые планы, все разговоры их о зле.

3 Добрые дома построены на мудрости и понимании.

4 Знание наполняет их комнаты редкими и бесценными сокровищами.

5 Мудрость даёт человеку могущество и знание увеличивает его силу.

6 Ты должен посоветоваться с мудрыми людьми, прежде чем начинать войну; тебе нужно много хороших советников, чтобы выиграть.

7 Глупые не понимают мудрости. Когда люди обсуждают важные вещи, глупым нечего сказать.

8 Если ты всегда замышляешь несчастья, люди будут знать тебя как приносящего беды и никогда не будут слушать тебя.

9 Всё, что планирует глупый, — грех. Люди презирают того, кто смеётся над праведностью.

10 Если слаб ты во времена беды, значит, ты действительно слаб.

11 Если люди замышляют убить кого-то, ты должен его спасти.

12 Ты не можешь сказать: «Это не моё дело ». Господь знает твои поступки и чем руководствуешься ты. Он следит за тобой, и поэтому воздаст по делам твоим.

13 Сын мой, ешь сладкий мёд из сот, ведь он полезен для тебя.

14 Так же и мудрость полезна для тебя. Если мудр ты, будет у тебя надежда, которая никогда не исчезнет.

15 Не будь подобен вору, который хочет украсть у доброго человека или хочет забрать его дом.

16 Если добрый падёт семь раз, он всё равно поднимется опять, но злобный навечно будет побеждён бедами своими.

17 Не радуйся беде врага твоего, не радуйся, когда он упадёт.

18 Господь увидит, если ты радуешься этому, и решит не наказывать твоего врага.

19 Не допускай волнений из-за злых и не завидуй им.

20 Нет надежды у злых, и свет их погаснет.

21 Сын мой, почитай Господа и царя и не присоединяйся к тем, кто выступает против них.

22 Потому что те, кто против, могут быстро погибнуть, и не знаешь ты, сколько несчастий Господь и царь могут обрушить на своих врагов.

23 Это слова мудрых: Судья должен быть справедлив и не должен помогать кому-нибудь просто по знакомству.

24 Люди возненавидят судью, который освобождает виновного, и даже другие народы проклянут такого судью.

25 Но, если судья наказывает виновного, все люди буду рады его справедливости.

26 Честный ответ осчастливит всех как поцелуй в уста.

27 Не строй дом раньше, чем засеешь свои поля.

28 Не говори без причины против кого-либо, иначе всем будет очевидна твоя глупость.

29 Не говори: «Он сделал мне больно, и я отвечу ему тем же. Я накажу его за причинённое мне зло».

30 Я прошёл мимо поля ленивого человека, мимо виноградника, принадлежащего глупому.

31 Всё на этих полях заросло сорняками, дикие виноградные лозы покрыли землю, а ограда была разрушена.

32 Я взглянул на всё это и задумался, и извлёк урок из всего, что видел:

33 немного сна, немного отдыха, сложенные руки и дневная дрёма —

34 всё это сделает тебя бедным очень быстро, и вскоре у тебя ничего не останется, словно вор вломился в дом твой и всё забрал.
