1 В тот день воспела Девора и Варак, сын Авиноамов, сими словами:

2 `Князи поступали, как князи во Израиле, народ показал рвение: прославьте Господа!

3 Слышите, цари, внемлите, вельможи: Я Иегове, я пою; бряцаю Иегове, Богу Израилеву.

4 Когда выходил Ты, Иегова, от Сеира, когда шел с поля Едомского, тогда земля тряслась, и небо капало, и облака проливали воду;

5 Горы растаявали от лица Иеговы, сей Синай от лица Иеговы, Бога Израилева.

6 Во дни Самгара, сына Анафова, во дни Иаили, праздны были дороги, и ходившие прежде путями гладкими, тогда ходили окольными дорогами.

7 Не было вождей у Израиля, не было, пока не восстала я, мать во Израиле.

8 Избрали новых богов. От того война у ворот. Виден ли был щит и копье у сорока тысяч Израиля?

9 Сердце мое к вам, начальники Израилевы! К народу, показавшему рвение, прославьте Господа!

10 Ездящие на ослицах белых, сидящие на коврах и путешествующие, пойте песнь!

11 Среди гласа делящих добычу, где черпают воду, там да воспоют хвалу Иегове, хвалу вождям Израиля! Тогда выступил ко вратам народ Иеговы.

12 Воспряни, воспряни, Девора, воспряни, воспряни! воспой песнь: Восстань, Варак! И веди пленников твоих, сын Авиноамов!

13 Тогда остатку дал он господство над сильным народом, Иегова дал мне господство над храбрыми.

14 От Ефрема шло передовое войско на Амалика; за тобою Вениамин, среди народа твоего, от Махира шли начальники, и от Завулона державшие жезл правления.

15 И князи Иссахаровы с Деворою, и Иссахар в помощь Вараку на долину бросился вслед за ним. У ручьев Рувимовых великие совещания.

16 Почто сидишь ты у водопоя, слушая глас свирелей у стад? У ручьев Рувимовых великие совещания.

17 Галаад живет спокойно за Иорданом, и Дану чего бояться с кораблями? Асир сидит на берегу моря, и у пристаней своих живет спокойно.

18 Народ Завулонов обрек душу свою на смерть, и Неффалим на высотах поля.

19 Пришли цари, сразились, тогда сразились цари Ханаанские в Фанаахе у вод Мегиддонских: не получили ни мало сребра.

20 С небес сражались звезды, с путей своих сражались с Сисарою.

21 Поток Киссон увлек их, поток древний, поток Киссон. Попирай, душа моя, силу!

22 Тогда ломались копыта конские от побега, от побега сильных его.

23 Прокляните Мероз, говорит Ангел Иеговы, прокляните, прокляните жителей его, за то, что не пришли на помощь Иегове, на помощь Иегове с храбрыми.

24 Да будет благословенна паче жен Иаиль, жена Хевера Кенеянина, паче жен в шатрах да будет благословенна!

31 Так да погибнут все враги Твои, Господи! Любящие же Его да будут как солнце, текущее во всей славе своей!` И спокойна была земля сорок лет.
