2 And he said2036 to them, When3752 you pray,4336 say,3004 Our Father3962 which3588 are in heaven,3772 Hallowed37 be your name.3686 Your kingdom932 come.2064 Your will2307 be done,1096 as in heaven,3772 so2532 in earth.1093

3 Give1325 us day3588 by day3588 our daily1967 bread.740

4 And forgive863 us our sins;266 for we also2532 forgive863 every3956 one that is indebted3784 to us. And lead1533 us not into1519 temptation;3986 but deliver4506 us from evil.4190

5 And he said2036 to them, Which5101 of you shall have2192 a friend,5384 and shall go4198 to him at3317 midnight,3317 and say2036 to him, Friend,5384 lend5531 me three5140 loaves;740

6 For a friend5384 of my3450 in his journey3598 is come3854 to me, and I have2192 nothing3756 3739 to set3908 before3908 him?

7 And he from within2081 shall answer611 and say,2036 Trouble2873 me not: the door2374 is now2235 shut,2808 and my children3813 are with me in bed;2845 I cannot3756 1410 rise450 and give1325 you.

8 I say3004 to you, Though1499 he will not rise1453 and give1325 him, because1223 he is his friend,5384 yet1065 because1223 of his importunity335 he will rise450 and give1325 him as many3745 as he needs.5535

9 And I say3004 to you, Ask,154 and it shall be given1325 you; seek,2212 and you shall find;2147 knock,2925 and it shall be opened455 to you.

10 For every3956 one that asks154 receives;2983 and he that seeks2212 finds;2147 and to him that knocks2925 it shall be opened.455

11 If a son5207 shall ask154 bread740 of any5100 of you that is a father,3962 will he give1929 him a stone?3037 or if he ask a fish,2486 will he for a fish2486 give1929 him a serpent?3789

12 Or2228 2532 if1437 he shall ask154 an egg,5609 will he offer1929 him a scorpion?4651

13 If1487 you then,3767 being5225 evil,4190 know1492 how to give1325 good18 gifts1390 to your5216 children:5043 how4214 much4214 more3123 shall your3588 heavenly1537 3772 Father3962 give1325 the Holy40 Spirit4151 to them that ask154 him?

14 And he was casting1544 out a devil,1140 and it was dumb.2974 And it came1096 to pass, when the devil1140 was gone1831 out, the dumb2974 spoke;2980 and the people3793 wondered.2296

15 But some5100 of them said,2036 He casts1544 out devils1140 through1722 Beelzebub954 the chief758 of the devils.1140

16 And others,2087 tempting3985 him, sought2212 of him a sign4592 from heaven.3772

17 But he, knowing1492 their thoughts,1270 said2036 to them, Every3956 kingdom932 divided1266 against1909 itself1438 is brought2049 to desolation;2049 and a house3624 divided against1909 a house3624 falls.4098

18 If1499 Satan4567 also2532 be divided1266 against1909 himself,1438 how4459 shall his kingdom932 stand?2476 because3754 you say3004 that I cast1544 out devils1140 through1722 Beelzebub.954

19 And if1487 I by Beelzebub954 cast1544 out devils,1140 by whom5101 do4160 your5216 sons5207 cast1544 them out? therefore1223 5124 shall they be your5216 judges.2923

20 But if1487 I with the finger1147 of God2316 cast1544 out devils,1140 no686 doubt686 the kingdom932 of God2316 is come5348 on you.

21 When3752 a strong2478 man armed2528 keeps5442 his palace,833 his goods5224 are in peace:1515

22 But when1875 a stronger2478 than he shall come1904 on him, and overcome3528 him, he takes142 from him all3833 his armor3833 wherein1909 3739 he trusted,3982 and divides1239 his spoils.4661

23 He that is not with me is against2596 me: and he that gathers4863 not with me scatters.4650

24 When3752 the unclean169 spirit4151 is gone1831 out of a man,444 he walks1330 through1223 dry504 places,5117 seeking2212 rest;372 and finding2147 none,3361 he said,3004 I will return5290 to my house3624 from where3606 I came1831 out.

25 And when he comes,2064 he finds2147 it swept4563 and garnished.2885

26 Then5119 goes4198 he, and takes3880 to him seven2033 other2087 spirits4151 more wicked4191 than himself;1438 and they enter1525 in, and dwell2730 there:1563 and the last2078 state of that man444 is worse5501 than the first.4413

27 And it came1096 to pass, as he spoke3004 these5023 things, a certain5100 woman1135 of the company3793 lifted1869 up her voice,5456 and said2036 to him, Blessed3107 is the womb2836 that bore941 you, and the breasts3149 which3739 you have sucked.2337

28 But he said,2036 Yes3304 rather,3304 blessed3107 are they that hear191 the word3056 of God,2316 and keep5442 it.

29 And when the people3793 were gathered1865 thick together,1865 he began756 to say,3004 This3778 is an evil4190 generation:1074 they seek1934 a sign;4592 and there shall no3756 sign4592 be given1325 it, but the sign4592 of Jonas2495 the prophet.4396

30 For as Jonas2495 was a sign4592 to the Ninevites,3536 so3779 shall also2532 the Son5207 of man444 be to this5026 generation.1074

31 The queen938 of the south3558 shall rise1453 up in the judgment2920 with the men435 of this5026 generation,1074 and condemn2632 them: for she came2064 from the utmost4009 parts of the earth1093 to hear191 the wisdom4678 of Solomon;4672 and, behold,2400 a greater4119 than Solomon4672 is here.5602

32 The men435 of Nineve3535 shall rise450 up in the judgment2920 with this5026 generation,1074 and shall condemn2632 it: for they repented3340 at1519 the preaching2782 of Jonas;2495 and, behold,2400 a greater4119 than Jonas2495 is here.5602

33 No3762 man,3762 when he has lighted681 a candle,3088 puts5087 it in a secret2926 place, neither3761 under5259 a bushel,3426 but on1909 a candlestick,3087 that they which3588 come1531 in may see991 the light.5338

34 The light3088 of the body4983 is the eye:3788 therefore3767 when1875 your4675 eye3788 is single,573 your whole3650 body4983 also2532 is full5460 of light;5460 but when3752 your eye3788 is evil,4190 your body4983 also2532 is full of darkness.4652

35 Take4648 heed4648 therefore3767 that the light5457 which3588 is in you be not darkness.4655

36 If1487 your whole3650 body4983 therefore3767 be full5460 of light,5460 having2192 no3365 5100 part3313 dark,4652 the whole3650 shall be full5460 of light,5460 as when3752 the bright796 shining796 of a candle3088 does give5461 you light.5461

37 And as he spoke,2980 a certain5100 Pharisee5330 sought2065 him to dine709 with him: and he went1525 in, and sat377 down377 to meat.

38 And when the Pharisee5330 saw1492 it, he marveled2296 that he had not first4412 washed907 before4253 dinner.712

39 And the Lord2962 said2036 to him, Now3568 do you Pharisees5330 make2511 clean2511 the outside1855 of the cup4221 and the platter;4094 but your5216 inward2081 part is full1073 of ravening724 and wickedness.4189

40 You fools,878 did not he that made4160 that which3588 is without1855 make4160 that which is within2081 also?2532

41 But rather4133 give1325 alms1654 of such things as you have;1751 and, behold,2400 all3956 things are clean2513 to you.

42 But woe3759 to you, Pharisees!5330 for you tithe586 mint2238 and rue4076 and all3956 manner of herbs,3001 and pass3928 over3928 judgment2920 and the love26 of God:2316 these5023 ought1163 you to have done,4160 and not to leave863 the other2548 undone.

43 Woe3759 to you, Pharisees!5330 for you love25 the uppermost4410 seats4410 in the synagogues,4864 and greetings783 in the markets.58

44 Woe3759 to you, scribes1122 and Pharisees,5330 hypocrites!5273 for you are as graves3419 which3588 appear82 not, and the men444 that walk4043 over1883 them are not aware1492 of them.

45 Then1161 answered611 one5100 of the lawyers,3544 and said3004 to him, Master,1320 thus5023 saying3004 you reproach5195 us also.2532

46 And he said,2036 Woe3759 to you also,2532 you lawyers!3544 for you lade5412 men444 with burdens5413 grievous1418 to be borne,1418 and you yourselves846 touch4379 not the burdens5413 with one1520 of your5216 fingers.1147

51 From the blood129 of Abel6 to the blood129 of Zacharias 2197which3588 perished622 between3342 the altar2379 and the temple:3624 truly3483 I say3004 to you, It shall be required1567 of this5026 generation.1074

52 Woe3759 to you, lawyers!3544 for you have taken142 away the key2807 of knowledge:1108 you entered1525 not in yourselves,846 and them that were entering1525 in you hindered.2967

53 And as he said3004 these5023 things to them, the scribes1122 and the Pharisees5330 began756 to urge1758 him vehemently,1171 and to provoke653 him to speak653 of many4119 things:

54 Laying1748 wait1748 for him, and seeking2212 to catch2340 something5100 out of his mouth,4750 that they might accuse2723 him.
