4 Du sollst dir kein Bildnis6459 noch irgend ein Gleichnis8544 machen6213 weder des, das oben4605 im Himmel8064, noch des, das unten auf Erden776, oder des, das im Wasser4325 unter834 der Erde776 ist.

5 Bete7812 sie6485 nicht an und diene5647 ihnen nicht. Denn ich, der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, bin8130 ein eifriger7067 GOtt410, der da heimsuchet der Väter1 Missetat5771 an den Kindern1121 bis in das dritte8029 und vierte7256 Glied, die mich hassen,

8 Gedenke2142 des Sabbattages7676, daß3117 du ihn heiligest6942.

9 Sechs8337 Tage3117 sollst du arbeiten5647 und alle deine Dinge4399 beschicken6213;

10 aber am siebenten7637 Tage3117 ist der Sabbat7676 des HErrn3068, deines Gottes430. Da sollst du kein Werk tun6213, noch dein Sohn1121, noch deine Tochter1323, noch dein Knecht5650, noch deine Magd519, noch dein Vieh4399, noch dein Fremdling1616, der in deinen Toren8179 ist.

18 Und alles Volk5971 sah7200 den Donner6963 und Blitz3940 und den Ton6963 der Posaune7782 und den Berg2022 rauchen6226. Da sie5971 aber solches sahen7200, flohen sie5128 und traten5975 von ferne7350;

19 und sprachen559 zu Mose4872: Rede du1696 mit uns8085, wir wollen gehorchen, und laß GOtt430 nicht mit uns reden1696, wir möchten sonst sterben4191.

20 Mose4872 aber sprach559 zum Volk5971: Fürchtet euch3372 nicht; denn GOtt430 ist935 kommen, daß5668 er euch2398 versuchte5254, und daß seine Furcht3374 euch vor Augen6440 wäre, daß ihr nicht sündiget.

21 Also trat5975 das Volk5971 von ferne7350; aber Mose4872 machte sich hinzu5066 ins Dunkel6205, da GOtt430 innen war.

22 Und4872 der HErr3068 sprach559 zu ihm: Also sollst du den Kindern1121 Israel3478 sagen559: Ihr habt gesehen7200, daß ich mit euch vom Himmel8064 geredet habe1696.

23 Darum sollt ihr nichts neben mir machen6213, silberne3701 und430 güldene Götter430 sollt ihr nicht machen6213.

24 Einen Altar4196 von Erde127 mache6213 mir, darauf du dein Brandopfer5930 und Dankopfer8002, deine Schafe6629 und Rinder1241 opferst2076. Denn an welchem Ort4725 ich meines Namens8034 Gedächtnis stiften werde2142, da will935 ich zu dir kommen und dich segnen1288.

25 Und so du mir einen steinernen68 Altar4196 willst machen6213, sollst du ihn nicht von gehauenen1496 Steinen bauen1129; denn wo du mit deinem Messer2719 darüber5130 fährest, so wirst du ihn entweihen2490.

26 Du sollst auch nicht auf Stufen4609 zu meinem Altar4196 steigen5927, daß nicht deine Scham6172 aufgedeckt werde1540 vor ihm.

20 And Moses4872 said559 to the people,5971 Fear3372 not: for God430 is come935 to prove5254 you, and that his fear3374 may be before5921 your faces,6440 that you sin2398 not.

21 And the people5971 stood5975 afar7350 off, and Moses4872 drew near5066 to the thick darkness6205 where834 8033 God430 was.

22 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Thus3541 you shall say559 to the children1121 of Israel,3478 You have seen7200 that I have talked1696 with you from heaven.8064

23 You shall not make6213 with me gods430 of silver,3701 neither3808 shall you make6213 to you gods430 of gold.2091

24 An altar4196 of earth127 you shall make6213 to me, and shall sacrifice2076 thereon5921 your burnt5930 offerings, and your peace8002 offerings, your sheep,6629 and your oxen:1241 in all3605 places4725 where834 I record2142 my name8034 I will come935 to you, and I will bless1288 you.

25 And if518 you will make6213 me an altar4196 of stone,68 you shall not build1129 it of hewn1496 stone: for if you lift5130 up your tool2719 on it, you have polluted2490 it.

26 Neither3808 shall you go5927 up by steps4609 to my altar,4196 that your nakedness6172 be not discovered1540 thereon.5921
