6 В дни Шамгара, сына Аната, в дни Иаили пути опустели,и ходившие прежде дорогой прямой пускались в обход.

7 Обезлюдели в Исраиле селения, обезлюдели, пока не восстала я, Девора, пока не восстала я, мать в Исраиле.

8 Избрали новых богов – вот и война у ворот,и ни щита, ни копья не видно у сорока тысяч в Исраиле.

13 И тогда уцелевшие собрались к вельможам, народ Вечного собрался ко мне против сильных.

16 Что же мешкал ты среди овчарен, слушал, как стада собирают свистом?Кланы Рувима в большом колебании.

17 Галаад прижился за Иорданом. Дан – зачем у кораблей он засиделся?Ашир остался на побережье и живёт у своих пристаней.

19 Явились цари, сразились; цари Ханаана сразилисьв Таанахе, у вод близ Мегиддо, да не взяли серебряных трофеев.

20 Звёзды с небес сражались, с путей своих сражались с Сисарой.

21 Река Кишон прочь их унесла, древняя река, река Кишон. Вперёд, душа! Будь сильна!

22 И грохотали коней копыта в галопе, в галопе его жеребцов.

23 „Прокляните Мероз, – сказал Ангел Вечного, – жителей его прокляните страшно,ведь они не пришли на помощь Вечному, на помощь Вечному против сильных“.

31 Да погибнут все враги Твои, Вечный! А те, кто любит Тебя, да будут как солнце, когда оно поднимается во всей своей силе».И земля покоилась в мире сорок лет.
