2 And his disciples3101 asked2065 him, saying,3004 Master,4461 who5101 did sin,264 this3778 man, or2228 his parents,1118 that he was born1080 blind?5185

3 JEsus2424 antwortete611: Es hat1722 weder3777 dieser3778 gesündiget noch3777 seine846 Eltern1118, sondern235 daß2443 die Werke2041 Gottes2316 offenbar würden5319 an ihm846.

3 Jesus2424 answered,611 Neither3777 has this3778 man sinned,264 nor3777 his parents:1118 but that the works2041 of God2316 should be made manifest5319 in him.

4 Ich3165 muß1163 Wirken2038 die Werke2041 des, der mich1691 gesandt3992 hat, solange2193 es Tag2250 ist2076; es kommt2064 die Nacht3571, da3753 niemand3762 wirken2038 kann1410.

6 Da er4429 solches5023 gesagt2036, spützete er auf1909 die Erde5476 und2532 machte4160 einen Kot4081 aus1537 dem Speichel4427 und2532 schmierete den Kot4081 auf des Blinden5185 Augen3788

6 When he had thus5023 spoken,2036 he spat4429 on5476 the ground,5476 and made4160 clay4081 of the spittle,4427 and he anointed2025 1909 the eyes3788 of the blind5185 man with the clay,4081

7 und2532 sprach2036 zu1519 ihm: Gehe5217 hin zu dem Teich2861 Siloah4611 (das3739 ist verdolmetschet: gesandt649) und2532 wasche3538 dich. Da3767 ging565 er846 hin und2532 wusch3538 sich und kam2064 sehend991.

8 Die Nachbarn1069, und2532 die ihn zuvor4386 gesehen hatten2334, daß3754 er846 ein Bettler5185 war2258, sprachen3004: Ist2076 dieser nicht3756, der3778 da3767 saß2521 und2532 bettelte4319?

8 The neighbors1069 therefore,3767 and they which before4386 had seen2334 him that he was blind,5185 said,3004 Is not this3778 he that sat2521 and begged?4319

9 Etliche243 sprachen: Er3778 ist‘s2076; etliche243 aber3754: Er846 ist ihm1565 ähnlich3664. Er selbst aber sprach: Ich1473 bin‘s1510.

9 Some243 said,3004 This3778 is he: others243 said, He is like3664 him: but he said,3004 I am1510 he.

10 Da3767 sprachen3004 sie846 zu ihm: Wie4459 sind deine4675 Augen3788 aufgetan455?

10 Therefore3767 said3004 they to him, How4459 were your4675 eyes3788 opened?455
|

11 Er2036 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036: Der1565 Mensch444, der JEsus2424 heißet, machte4160 einen Kot4081 und2532 schmierete meine3450 Augen3788 und2532 sprach3004: Gehe5217 hin zu1519 dem Teich2861 Siloah4611 und2532 wasche3538 dich. Ich ging565 hin und1161 wusch3538 mich3427 und2532 ward sehend308.

11 He answered611 and said,2036 A man444 that is called3004 Jesus2424 made4160 clay,4081 and anointed2025 my3450 eyes,3788 and said2036 to me, Go5217 to the pool2861 of Siloam,4611 and wash:3538 and I went565 and washed,3538 and I received308 sight.308

12 Then3767 said2036 they to him, Where4226 is he? He said,3004 I know1492 not.

13 Da führeten sie71 ihn846 zu4314 den Pharisäern5330, der weiland4218 blind5185 war.

13 They brought71 to the Pharisees5330 him that aforetime4218 was blind.5185

|
14 (Es war2258 aber1161 Sabbat4521, da3753 JEsus2424 den Kot4081 machte4160 und2532 seine846 Augen3788 öffnete455.)

14 And it was the sabbath4521 day when3753 Jesus2424 made4160 the clay,4081 and opened455 his eyes.3788

15 Da fragten2065 sie ihn abermal, auch2532 die Pharisäer5330, wie4459 er846 wäre sehend991 worden. Er846 aber3825 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Kot4081 legte2007 er mir3450 auf1909 die Augen3788, und2532 ich wusch3538 mich und2532 bin nun3767 sehend.

15 Then3767 again3825 the Pharisees5330 also2532 asked2065 him how4459 he had received308 his sight.308 He said2036 to them, He put2007 clay4081 on my3450 eyes,3788 and I washed,3538 and do see.991

16 Da3767 sprachen3004 etliche5100 der Pharisäer5330: Der Mensch444 ist2076 nicht3756 von1537 GOtt2316, dieweil er3778 den Sabbat4521 nicht3756 hält5083. Die andern243 aber2532 sprachen3004: Wie4459 kann1410 ein sündiger268 Mensch444 solche5108 Zeichen4592 tun4160? Und3754 es ward2258 eine Zwietracht4978 unter1722 ihnen846.

16 Therefore3767 said3004 some5100 of the Pharisees,5330 This3778 man444 is not of God,2316 because3754 he keeps5083 not the sabbath4521 day. Others243 said,3004 How4459 can1410 a man444 that is a sinner268 do4160 such5108 miracles?4592 And there was a division4978 among1722 them.

17 Sie sprachen3004 wieder3825 zu dem Blinden5185: Was5101 sagest du4771 von4012 ihm, daß3754 er846 hat deine4675 Augen3788 aufgetan455? Er aber1161 sprach3004: Er ist2076 ein Prophet4396.

17 They say3004 to the blind5185 man again,3825 What5101 say3004 you of him, that he has opened455 your4675 eyes?3788 He said,2036 He is a prophet.4396

18 Die Juden2453 glaubten4100 nicht3756 von4012 ihm, daß3754 er846 blind5185 gewesen2532 und3767 sehend308 worden wäre, bis daß sie riefen5455 die Eltern1118 des846, der sehend308 war2258 worden,

18 But the Jews2453 did not believe4100 concerning4012 him, that he had been2258 blind,5185 and received308 his sight,308 until2193 they called5455 the parents1118 of him that had received308 his sight.308

19 fragten2065 sie und2532 sprachen3004: Ist2076 das3739 euer5216 Sohn, von welchem ihr846 saget3004, er3778 sei blind5185 geboren? Wie4459 ist1080 er denn3754 nun3767 sehend991?

19 And they asked2065 them, saying,3004 Is this3778 your5216 son,5207 who3739 you say3004 was born1080 blind?5185 how4459 then3767 does he now737 see?991

20 Seine846 Eltern1118 antworteten611 ihnen und2532 sprachen2036: Wir wissen1492, daß3754 dieser3778 unser2257 Sohn ist2076, und2532 daß3754 er846 blind5185 geboren ist1080.
|
20 His parents1118 answered611 them and said,2036 We know1492 that this3778 is our son,5207 and that he was born1080 blind:5185
|
|
21 Wie4459 er846 aber1161 nun3568 sehend991 ist, wissen1492 wir2249 nicht3756; oder2228 wer5101 ihm hat2192 seine846 Augen991 aufgetan455, wissen1492 wir auch nicht3756. Er846 ist alt genug2244, fraget ihn2065; lasset ihn selbst für4012 sich848 reden2980.

21 But by what4459 means4459 he now3568 sees,991 we know1492 not; or2228 who5101 has opened455 his eyes,3788 we know1492 not: he is of age;2244 ask2065 him: he shall speak2980 for himself.848

22 Solches5023 sagten2036 seine846 Eltern1118; denn1063 sie1437 fürchteten sich5399 vor den Juden2453. Denn die Juden2453 hatten sich1096 schon2235 vereiniget, so2443 jemand5100 ihn846 für Christum5547 bekennete, daß3754 derselbe in Bann656 getan würde.

22 These5023 words spoke2036 his parents,1118 because3754 they feared5399 the Jews:2453 for the Jews2453 had agreed4934 already,2235 that if1437 any5100 man did confess3670 that he was Christ,5547 he should be put out of the synagogue.656

23 Darum sprachen2036 seine846 Eltern: Er846 ist2192 alt genug2244, fraget2065 ihn5124.

23 Therefore1223 5124 said2036 his parents,1118 He is of age;2244 ask2065 him.
|
|
24 Da3767 riefen5455 sie846 zum1537 andernmal den444 Menschen, der3778 blind5185 gewesen war2258, und2532 sprachen2036 zu ihm: Gib1325 GOtt2316 die3739 Ehre1391! Wir2249 wissen1492, daß3754 dieser Mensch444 ein Sünder268 ist2076.

24 Then3767 again1537 1208 called5455 they the man444 that was blind,5185 and said2036 to him, Give1325 God2316 the praise:1391 we know1492 that this3778 man444 is a sinner.268

25 Er antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036: Ist2076 er ein1520 Sünder268, das1565 weiß1492 ich737 nicht3756; eines weiß1492 ich wohl, daß1487 ich blind5185 war5607 und3754 bin nun3767 sehend991.

25 He answered611 and said,2036 Whether1487 he be a sinner268 or no, I know1492 not: one1520 thing I know,1492 that, whereas I was blind,5185 now737 I see.991

26 Da sprachen2036 sie1161 wieder3825 zu ihm: Was5101 tat4160 er846 dir4671? Wie4459 tat er deine4675 Augen3788 auf455?
|
26 Then1161 said2036 they to him again,3825 What5101 did4160 he to you? how4459 opened455 he your4675 eyes?3788
|

27 Er2532 antwortete611 ihnen: Ich hab‘s euch5213 jetzt2235 gesagt2036; habt191 ihr846‘s nicht3756 gehöret? Was5101 wollt2309 ihr‘s191 abermal hören191? Wollt2309 ihr5210 auch2532 seine846 Jünger3101 werden1096?

27 He answered611 them, I have told2036 you already,2235 and you did not hear:191 why5101 would2309 you hear191 it again?3825 will2309 you also2532 be his disciples?3101

28 Da1161 fluchten sie3058 ihm846 und2532 sprachen2036: Du3767 bist1488 sein Jünger3101; wir2249 aber1565 sind2070 Mose3475‘s Jünger3101.
|
28 Then3767 they reviled3058 him, and said,2036 You are1488 his disciple;3101 but we are Moses'3475 disciples.3101
|
|
29 Wir2249 wissen1492, daß3754 GOtt2316 mit Mose3475 geredet hat2980; diesen5126 aber wissen1492 wir nicht3756, von wannen er ist2076.
|
29 We know1492 that God2316 spoke2980 to Moses:3475 as for this5126 fellow, we know1492 not from where4159 he is.

|
30 Der Mensch444 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Das1492 ist2076 ein wunderlich Ding2298, daß3754 ihr846 nicht3756 wisset, von wannen er sei2076; und er hat meine3450 Augen3788 aufgetan455!
|
30 The man444 answered611 and said2036 to them, Why1063 herein1722 5129 is a marvelous2298 thing, that you know1492 not from where4159 he is, and yet he has opened455 my3450 eyes.3788
|
|
31 Wir wissen1492 aber1161, daß3754 GOtt2316 die5127 Sünder268 nicht3756 höret191, sondern235 so1437 jemand5100 gottesfürchtig2318 ist5600 und2532 tut4160 seinen Willen2307, den höret191 er846.
|
31 Now1161 we know1492 that God2316 hears191 not sinners:268 but if1437 any5100 man be a worshipper2318 of God,2318 and does4160 his will,2307 him he hears.191
|
|
32 Von1537 der Welt165 an ist‘s1080 nicht3756 erhöret, daß3754 jemand5100 einem gebornen Blinden5185 die191 Augen3788 aufgetan455 habe191.
|
32 Since1537 the world165 began was it not heard191 that any5100 man opened455 the eyes3788 of one that was born1080 blind.5185
|
|
33 Wäre2258 dieser nicht1508 von3844 GOtt2316, er3778 könnte1410 nichts3756 tun4160.
|
33 If1487 this3778 man were not of God,2316 he could1410 do4160 nothing.3762
|
|
34 Sie846 antworteten611 und2532 sprachen2036 zu ihm846: Du4771 bist ganz3650 in1722 Sünden266 geboren1080 und2532 lehrest1321 uns2248? Und2532 stießen ihn1544 hinaus1854.
|
34 They answered611 and said2036 to him, You were altogether3650 born1080 in sins,266 and do you teach1321 us? And they cast1544 him out.
|
|
35 Es kam vor1854 JEsum, daß3754 sie846 ihn ausgestoßen1544 hatten191. Und2532 da er2424 ihn fand2147, sprach2036 er846 zu1519 ihm846: Glaubest du4771 an den Sohn Gottes2316?
|
35 Jesus2424 heard191 that they had cast1544 him out; and when he had found2147 him, he said2036 to him, Do you believe4100 on1519 the Son5207 of God?2316

36 Er1565 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036: HErr2962, welcher5101 ist‘s2076, auf1519 daß2443 ich an ihn846 glaube4100?
|
36 He answered611 and said,2036 Who5101 is he, Lord,2962 that I might believe4100 on1519 him?
|
|
37 JEsus2424 sprach2036 zu3708 ihm846: Du2980 hast ihn846 gesehen3708, und1161 der2076 mit2532 dir4675 redet, der1565 ist2532‘s.
|
37 And Jesus2424 said2036 to him, You have both2532 seen3708 him, and it is he that talks2980 with you.
|
|
38 Er846 aber1161 sprach5346: HErr2962, ich glaube4100; und2532 betete4352 ihn an.
|
38 And he said,5346 Lord,2962 I believe.4100 And he worshipped4352 him.
|
|
39 Und2532 JEsus2424 sprach2036: Ich1473 bin zum Gerichte2917 auf1519 diese5126 Welt2889 kommen2064, auf1519 daß2443, die da nicht3361 sehen991, sehend werden, und2532 die da sehen, blind5185 werden.
|
39 And Jesus2424 said,2036 For judgment2917 I am come2064 into1519 this5126 world,2889 that they which see991 not might see;991 and that they which see991 might be made1096 blind.5185

|
40 Und2532 solches5023 höreten etliche der Pharisäer5330, die3588 bei3326 ihm846 waren5607, und2532 sprachen2036 zu1537 ihm846: Sind2070 wir2249 denn auch2532 blind5185?
|
40 And some of the Pharisees5330 which3588 were with him heard191 these5023 words, and said2036 to him, Are we blind5185 also?2532
|
|
41 JEsus2424 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Wäret ihr846 blind5185, so3568 hättet2192 ihr302 keine3756 Sünde266; nun1161 ihr aber1487 sprechet: Wir sind2258 sehend991, bleibet3306 eure5216 Sünde266.

41 Jesus2424 said2036 to them, If1487 you were blind,5185 you should have2192 no3756 sin:266 but now3568 you say,3004 We see;991 therefore3767 your5216 sin266 remains.3306
